Kathleen Mietlicki was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and recently returned to Corpus Christi, where she lived in the mid 1990s. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (plus 24 semester hours of Accounting) and graduated from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, summa cum laude. Kathleen's work experience includes 10 years with the Chicago Regional Office of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (7 years as a Financial Management Specialist and 3 years as a Medicare Auditor); Executive Assistant to the Director of the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame in Wichita, Kansas; and as a Cost Report Auditor for a Medicare Contractor.

While raising her two daughters, Kathleen was very active as a volunteer in many civic and non-profit organizations and also helped inmates prepare to re-enter society. Kathleen and her husband, Vince, recently realized their dream of returning to the Corpus Christi community, which they consider "home". Kathleen views her job as the Executive Assistant for the Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center a tremendous opportunity to use her analytical and organizational skills to serve a community she loves.
