Irem Evsen - MBA Graduate Assistant

I was born in Ankara, Turkey where I completed my high school and Bachelor Degree. I attended four years of university under a full academic scholarship awarded by the National Student Selection and Placement Center and graduated from Baskent University in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management. I was a member of the Baskent University Student Society and Baskent University Tourism Management Research Society from 2002 until 2004 which helped prepare me for the real world of business. I was on the honor list in my last four semesters and completed my undergraduate as the second most successful student in my department. I am currently studying International Business in the Master’s of Business Administration at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. I started out working as a volunteer in the Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center but then became one of their Graduate Assistants. I am helping client companies with their business plans including marketing and strategic issues. It is an excellent chance for me to transfer my theoretical knowledge into practice by assisting entrepreneurs and small businesses to achieve their goals. I am glad to have this experience and honored to be a part of this project which will be also beneficial for my future career.
