Richard Bell is currently serving as the Director of the Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center, a business incubator sponsored by the College of Business. Prior to this position, Richard served as principle owner of a yacht services company that offered yacht delivery, diving and repair services. He currently holds an active masters (captains) license with the USCG. He served 23 years in the US Navy as an underwater explorer, dean of a small college, naval liaison to the former Soviet Union Republic of Lithuania and as an assistant deputy for training. He retired from government service in 2004. Richard has a BS in Management/Education and a Masters in Accountancy. He is a US Patent Awardee in the field of underwater remote operated vehicles and has been appointed an Admiral in the Texas Navy by Governor Rick Perry.

Richard is currently the President Elect of the Corpus Christi Sunrise Rotary Club and a Committee Chair for the Corpus Christi Yacht Club. He is married to Christine Salch and has three children and four grandchildren.
